CaNCURE student and mentor featured in Cooperative Education News

CaNCURE trainee Rachel Fontana, ’17, studied liquid biopsy technologies to detect cancer biomarkers in the blood during her co-op at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.  She found that the co-op experience increased her appreciation for the time and dedication it takes to master skills in a scientific lab.  Rachel’s mentor, Mike Makrigiorgos, was very happy for the opportunity to serve as a CaNCURE mentor.  Mike stated that during Rachel’s co-op, she established herself as an invaluable member of the lab.
