This talk will present an outline of Guardion Technologies – a nanotechnology-based start-up company that was spun out of Northeastern University. Guardion aims to make the world a safer place by monitoring and providing early awareness of harmful ionizing radiations. In this talk, I will describe why radiation detection and monitoring is important, what specific problems Guardion is solving, and what solutions it is providing to customers. I will also outline how Guardion was created, what path it is following, and the challenges along the way.
