Not All Who Wander Are Lost: Considerations for Your Career

07/02/2020 3:25 pm

With the acceleration of advanced biotech tools and techniques, the biotech and pharmaceutical industry is bursting with new or improved diagnostics, treatments and potential cures for patients. Individuals and companies that demonstrate an efficient intersection of science, patient needs and business have the competitive advantage; no one can operate as they have in the past.

In this discussion-based lecture, Founder of Impono and Northeastern’s Professor of the Practice Christa Dhimo, will talk about various considerations in a biotech pharma career, from early-stage structure in start-ups and small biotechs to how that structure offers a framework for “clean growth,” and from key points of business that improve the competitiveness of a student’s employment pathway to the necessary considerations for anyone thinking about starting up or joining an early-stage or high-growth company. Throughout the lecture she will share her experience with navigating into the biopharma industry and discuss the vital necessity of doing and studying what you love as a lifelong mission.
