We are pleased to announce that one of our CaNCURE program alumni, Sarah Sherman (Biology/English, ’17), has recently accepted a position with St. Jude’s Pediatric Oncology Education (POE) Program. This highly competitive summer internship seeks to encourage undergraduates to pursue a career in cancer research. Program participants spend 11 weeks working alongside a clinical or laboratory researcher at St Jude’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Sarah will be doing research in the Chemical Biology and Therapeutics Department under the guidance of Dr. Kiplin Guy. She is very excited to expand on the start the CaNCURE program gave her in oncology research!
